SITUATION:
Vibro-Acoustic Sciences, Inc., (now known as ESI Group) developer
of high quality software for noise and vibration design with
clients including Ford Motor Company, DaimlerChrysler, and
Lear Corporation wanted to redesign their corporate B2B website
and obtain better search engine results.
CHALLENGE: The VASCI website needed an
updated look and lacked interactive content as well as methods
of encouraging their target market to return frequently. In addition,
the original design made it difficult for search engines to index
existing content.
SOLUTION: Marketingweb was hired to act
as the technical and marketing lead in the redesign of the Vibro-Acoustic
Sciences website. Working with the Vice President of Sales, Marketingweb
restructured the VASCI website providing fast access, intuitive
navigation, and graphic continuity. Search engine results were
improved drastically by obtaining top 5 listings in major engines
for selected key words. Marketingweb further proposed that the
website content be restructured to encourage engineers to return
to the VASCI website by giving them the ability to research design
articles in the VASCI "library". Marketingweb also
suggested that the VASCI newsletter be developed as an online,
print and permission based marketing tool.
The Vibro-Acoustic Sciences website has continued
to evolve as management and philosophies have changed. Although
the graphic presentation has returned to a simpler expression,
the content and methods of generating return visits are still
in place.
